Clean-out of reedbed 1 to lower very high water levels across the 3-bed system.
Works required:
Construction of site security fencing, access trackway, and safety signage.
Chopper pump and pipework.
Construction of temporary sump and loading platform.
Recovery and recycling of all tonnage removed.
Fresh planting of Phragmites australis plugs and aftercare monitoring.
In spring 2023, the second reedbed was refurbished, and the reeds were transplanted.
